El departamento de investigacion multiple ha descubierto un plan de estafa, por una mujer en el Condado de Okaloosa, se trata de vender cientos de tarjetas de identificación falsas, vendidas primeramente a residentes indocumentados.
Mientras investigaban otro caso, investigadores con la Division de Investigacion Criminal del departamento del Sheriff de la Division del Condado de Bay encontró una tarjeta de identificación falsa, muy similar a la que otorga el estado de la Florida, y en posesión de un sospechoso.
Otras investigaciones llevaron a las autoridades hacia un mujer que los investigadores creen que viaja periodicamente al Panhandle desde Escambia hacia el Condado de Leon visitando iglesias de habla hispana y así usando esta oportunidad para vender las tarjetas falsas.
Las tarjetas, compradas por $50.00, aparentemente terminan en las manos de individuos que las autoridades sospechan han entrado al país sin documentos, dice asi el reporte del sheriff.
El Servicio Secreto, Las oficinas del Sheriff del Condado de Okaloosa y la Agencia de Control de Alcohol, Bebidas y Tabaco asistieron al Condado de Bay en esta investigación.

False Identification Cards Lead to Arrest
A multi-department investigation has uncovered a scam by an Okaloosa County woman to sell hundreds of fake identification cards primarily to undocumented residents.
While investigating a separate case, investigators with the Criminal Investigations Division of the Bay County Sheriff’s Department found a bogus identification card similar to the ones officially issued by the state of Florida, in the possession of the suspect.
Further investigations led authorities to a woman that investigators believe periodically traveled the Panhandle from Escambia to Leon County visiting Spanish speaking churches and using the opportunity to sell false cards.
The cards, purchased for about $50, apparently often ended up in the hands of individuals who authorities suspect entered this country undocumented, sheriff’s reports said.
The Secret Service, the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office and the Bureau of Alcohol, Beverage and Tobacco Control assisted Bay County in this investigation.
