Edwar Ramirez, el anterior cerrador de los Pensacola Pelicans, ha tenido mucho éxito esta temporada con los Yankees.  Desde su regreso a los Yankees de New Yoek, esta temporada, Ramirez ha sido un miembro vital de su equipo de lanzadores.  Ramirez, de 27 años, es originario de El Cerdado, República Dominicana.

En esta temporada, Ramirez ha salido del bullpen de los Yankees siete veces y ha lanzado siete entradas y dos tercios sin escore de relevo.  El es 1.0 con 0.00ERA y ha alcanzado nueve strikeouts y sólo ha permitido 3 hits en esas siete entradas y dos tercios.  En sus últimas cuatro salidas, Ramirez no ha permitido ningún hit.

Este es el segundo turno de Ramirez en las Ligas Mayores.  El terminó la última temporada con los Yankees 1-1 en veitiuna entradas lanzadas con un 8.14 ERA.

Edwar Ramirez, the Pensacola Pelicans former closer, has been quite successful this season with the Yankees.  Since returning to the New York Yankees this season, Ramirez has been a vital part of their pitching staff.  27 year old, Ramírez is originally from El Cerdado, Dominican Republic.

So far this season, Ramirez has made the trip out of the Yankee bullpen seven times and has pitched seven and two thirds scoreless innings of relief.  He is 1-0 with 0.00 ERA and has recorded nine strikeouts and only allowed three hits in those seven and two thirds innings.  In his last four outings, Ramirez has not allowed a hit.

 This is Ramirez’s second stint in the Major Leagues.  He finished last season with the Yankees going 1-1 in twenty one innings pitched with an 8.14 ERA.  As the Pelicans closer in 2005, Ramirez posted a 1.45 ERA and recorded eleven saves while holding opponents to a .170 batting average.
