La Substitución de ECUA en Main Street Sigue Avanzando ~ ECUA Main Street Replacement Continues to Move Forward  English Version

Construcción del proyecto conocido como "Southern Transmission Main" una parte integral del proyecto de Substitución de la Planta de Tratamiento de Aguas Negras de Main Street, empezó el 12 de Agosto.  Este proyecto de $5 millones

es el primero de tres proyectos principales de substitución, designados a llevar aguas negras a la propuesta Central Water Reclamation Facility (CWRF), al norte de Solutia, Inc. en Cantonment.  Al estar conectadas las tres substituciones principales cubrirán aproximadamente 25 millas, desde el centro de Pensacola, hacia el norte al nuevo sitio de la facilidad de substitución en Cantonment.

El contratista de ECUA en este proyecto, Utility Service Company, Inc. de Gulf Breeze, instalará cañeria de 30 y 36 pulgadas de diámetro a una profundidad de 8 a 11 pies.  El trabajo de construcción empezará en Moreno Street, desde La Calle "C" a la "A", y en la Calle "C", de Moreno Street a Government Street.

El proyecto tomará aproximadamente un año y durante ese tiempo, se trabajará también en la Calle Government entre Clubbs y "C" Street, asi como también en Moreno Street, de la Calle "A" a La Calle Guillemard.

Construction of the project known as the “Southern Transmission Main”, an  integral part of the Main Street Wastewater Treatment Plant Replacement  Project began on Tuesday, August 12.   This $5 million project is the first of three transmission main projects, designed to convey wastewater to the ECUA’s  planned  Central Water Reclamation Facility (CWRF), north of Solutia, Inc. in  Cantonment.

When connected, the three transmission mains will run  approximately twenty-five miles, from downtown Pensacola, north to the new reclamation  facility’s site in Cantonment. 

ECUA’s contractor on this project, Utility Service Company, Inc. of Gulf  Breeze,  will be installing 30-inch and 36-inch diameter pipes at a range of 8’ to 11’  deep.  Construction work will begin on Moreno Street, from “C” Street to “A”  Street, and on “C” Street, from Moreno Street to Government  Street.  The  project will take approximately one year to complete, and during that time,  work will also be done on Government Street between Clubbs and “C” Street, as  well as on Moreno Street, from “A”  Street to Guillemard Street.
