Presentación Gratuita de la Película de Andy García "La Ciudad Perdida” (“The Lost City”) ~ Free Showing of Andy Garcia Film "The Lost City"   English Version

El Comité de Historia Negra y Multicultarismo del Pensacola Junior College (PJC) y la Asociación Cubano-Americana presentan “La Ciudad Perdida” ("The Lost City"). La presentación será abierta al público a las 6:30 p.m. el viernes 2 de Noviembre, en el Auditorio Hagler, sala 252, en el campus del PJC en Pensacola. La entrada es gratis.

"La Ciudad Perdida", una oda de Andy Garcia a La Habana de la Cuba pre-comunista, es una épica romántica. Garcia, quien emigró de Cuba a los EEUU siendo un niño, es el co-productor, director y protagonista de este trabajo de amor, que tomó 16 años en volverse una realidad.

Sinópsis: el personaje interpretado por Garcia, Fico Fellove, el mayor de tres hijos de un distinguido profesor, vive una vida acomodada como el dueño de un glamoroso bar en La Habana, El Trópico, cuando la revolución estalla. Sus dos hermanos menores, Luis (Nestór Carbonell) y Ricardo (Enrique Murciano), apoyan la revolución ferviertemente, pero Fico predice la destrucción de la nación bajo el control de Castro.

 The Pensacola Junior College Black History/Multicultural Committee and the Cuban American Association present "The Lost City." The showing is open to the public at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, at the Hagler Auditorium, room 252, on PJC's Pensacola campus. Admission is free.

 "The Lost City," Andy Garcia's ode to the Havana of pre-Communist Cuba, is a romantic epic. Garcia, who emigrated from Cuba to the United States as a boy, is co-producer, director and star of this labor of love, 16 years in the making.

The story, briefly: Garcia's character, Fico Fellove, the oldest of three sons of a distinguished professor, is living high on the hog as the owner of a glamorous Havana nightclub, El Tropico, when the revolution sweeps in. Fico's two younger brothers, Luis (Nestor Carbonell) and Ricardo (Enrique Murciano), fervently embrace the revolution, but Fico predicts the country's destruction under Castro.
