Aniversario:  El artista Ganador recibirá $1000 como premio ~ Celebrate Pensacola, Inc., Sponsors 450th Anniversary Poster Contest:  Winning Artist To Receive $1,000 Award English Version

Artistas pueden dejar su marca en la historia de Pensacola diseñando el famoso cartel para la celebración del 450 aniversario.  Celebrate Pensacola Inc., una orgnización sin fines de lucro está administrando la celebración, está patrocinando el concurso de carteles para conmemorar la fundación de Pensacola en 1559 y refleja la rica historia, cultura y eventos que han hecho Pensacola la fascinante comunidad que es hoy. La 450ava celebración comenzará el 23 de Mayo, 2008 y terminará 450 dias despues, el 15 de Agosto, 2009.

Aficionados y artistas profesionales de cualquier edad, están invitados a someter diseños representando los 450 años de historia de Pensacola.  El artista ganador recibirá $1000. El concurso se cierra a mediodia del Lunes, Mayo 19.

El diseño ganador del cartel será revelado en la ceremonia de inaguración el 23 de Mayo a las 5 p.m. en Palafox Place alredor de la fuente en la Corte del condado de Escambia.

Reglas del Concurso:

• Las entradas deben de tener un mìnimo de 14 pulgadas por 24 pulgadas y no ser más grandes de 24x36 pulgadas.  Se permite cualquier medio.  Los Artistas deben de someter una pieza original.

• Cada persona no puede someter más de dos diseños.

• Entradas deben de ser entregadas en Pensacola Bay Area Visitors Center al extremo norte del Pensacola Bay Bridge.

• La entrada ganadora es propiedad única de Celebrate Pensacola Inc. y no puede ser reproducida, incluyendo el trabajo original y cualquier imagen.

• Celebrate Pensacola Inc. acepta no responsabilidad por daños o pérdidas de los trabajos.

• Habrá un lìmite máximo de 400 carteles de edición limitada.

• Celebrate Pensacola Inc. reserva el derecho de aceptar o rechazar todos los trabajos sometidos durante la competencia.

• Un contrato firmado será proveido para las dos partes.

Artists can leave their mark on Pensacola’s history by designing the signature poster for the 450th anniversary celebration. Celebrate Pensacola, Inc., a non-profit organization managing the celebration, is hosting the poster contest to commemorate Pensacola’s founding in 1559 and reflect the rich history, culture and events that have made Pensacola the fascinating community it is today. The 450th celebration will begin May 23, 2008 and end 450 days later on August 15, 2009.

  Amateur and professional artists of any age are invited to submit poster designs representing the 450-year history of Pensacola. The winning artist will receive $1,000. The contest deadline is noon on Monday, May 19. The winning poster design will be unveiled at the 450th kick-off celebration held at 5 p.m. on May 23 on Palafox Place surrounding the fountain at the Escambia County Courthouse.  

Contest rules:

*     Entry art must be a minimum of 14 inches by 24 inches and no larger than 24 inches by 36 inches. Any medium is permitted. Artists must submit an original piece.

*     No more than two designs may be submitted per person.

*     Entries should be delivered to the Pensacola Bay Area Visitors Information Center at the north end of the Pensacola Bay Bridge.

*     The winning entry is the sole property of Celebrate Pensacola, Inc., and may not be reproduced, including the original artwork and any images.

*     Celebrate Pensacola, Inc., accepts no liability for damaged or lost artwork.

*     There will be a maximum of 400 limited-edition posters.

*     Celebrate Pensacola, Inc., reserves the right to accept or reject all work submitted during the competition.

*     A signed contract will be provided for both parties.
